Expect daytime traffic delays Monday (Nov. 3) at Nampa's Franklin Boulevard Interchange, area nighttime restrictions on I-84
BOISE - Traffic signals will be turned off and flaggers will direct traffic on the Franklin Boulevard Interchange in Nampa on Monday (Nov. 3), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will be hauling bridge girders into the work zone for the Franklin Boulevard Bridge project over I-84.
I-84 lanes will be restricted at night (10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weekdays; 10 p.m. - 7 a.m. weekends) from Nov. 3-10, and the speed limit will be 45 mph between Franklin and Garrity interchanges in Nampa. Crews will be conducting tests for future improvements to I-84 in the area.
Intermittent nighttime lane closures will continue on I-84 between Garrity and Meridian interchanges throughout November for the I-84, Garrity to Meridian widening project.
Interstate construction will continue throughout the Treasure Valley this winter.
These projects are part of a series of interstate improvements planned for I-84 between Caldwell and Meridian through the GARVEE Transportation Program. The program uses Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds to expedite interstate improvements.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
