Mineral Mountain Rest Area will close for expansion and upgrades
LEWISTON - Work to expand and upgrade the Mineral Mountain Rest Area building, located on U.S. 95 at milepost 370, will begin Monday (Nov. 10), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Workers will enlarge the building to include a family restroom with a diaper-changing table and upgrade the rest areas heating, water and sewer systems. New restroom fixtures also will be installed.
The work is anticipated to be complete in 90 days. During this time, the building will be closed for public use. Portable rest rooms will be set up in the truck parking area for public convenience.
Kenaston Corp. of Lewiston is the contractor for the $228,000 project.
