Road maintenance on Blue Lakes Boulevard limits traffic on Monday (Dec. 8)
TWIN FALLS - Traffic on Blue Lakes Boulevard (U.S. 93) will be restricted to two lanes for a road maintenance operation on Monday (Dec. 8), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Delays of five minutes can be expected. Drivers are urged to consider an alternate route.

Crews will be filling roadway cracks on Blue Lakes between Addison and Falls Avenues from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be open to one lane in each direction during working hours.

Drivers are asked to use caution near workers and equipment and to follow all temporary traffic control devices.

Crews also will be crack filling from milepost 14 to 17 on U.S. 93 south of Rogerson Tuesday through Thursday (Dec. 9-11). Traffic will be reduced to one lane and a pilot car will be utilized through the work zone. Drivers are asked to use caution and to watch for flaggers.

ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
