Eastbound on-ramps at Meridian Road will be closed Tuesday night (Dec. 16)
BOISE Eastbound on-ramps at Meridian Road will be closed overnight on Tuesday, December 16, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., as ITD crews work on the interchange.  Signs on Meridian Road will direct traffic to take Franklin Road or Overland Road to access eastbound I-84 at the Eagle Interchange.

The I-84, Garrity to Meridian project is estimated to be completed in 2010, and will result in six lanes on the Interstate along with a median barrier. The project is estimated to cost $113 million.

The project is part of a series of improvements in the GARVEE Transportation Program, which uses Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds to expedite interstate improvements.

ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for driving information on the state highway or interstate system.
