U.S. 93 Twin Falls Alternate Route Stage 1 utility work moves to the intersection of Pole Line Road and Fillmore Street
SHOSHONE - Utility trenching for Stage 1 of the U.S. 93 Twin Falls Alternate Route will move from the south side of Pole Line Road to the north side of the road beginning Thursday (Aug. 11), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews working on the south side of Pole Line Road from Key Bank heading west will cross the intersection of Pole Line Road and Fillmore Street and begin trenching around 8 a.m.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection. Some lane closures should be expected along with delays of up to 10 minutes. The use of alternate routes around the construction zone is encouraged.

Once trenching is complete in the intersection, work will continue on the north side of Pole Line Road from Fillmore Street to Washington Street.  Access will remain open to area businesses, although some driveways may be temporarily restricted.  Utility crews are expected to complete trenching by August 22.

Western Construction of Boise is the contractor for the $18.8 million Stage 1 of the Twin Falls Alternate Route.
