East Fork Road reconstruction contract awarded; project slated for start as early as late spring
HAILEY - A stretch of East Fork Road near Hailey is one step closer to reconstruction with the award of a $900,000 construction contract to Idaho Sand and Gravel of Jerome, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
ITD and the contractor continue to work through pre-construction planning during these winter months, with work expected to begin in late spring or early summer.
More information about the construction schedule will be announced as it becomes available.
When completed, the one-mile section of East Fork Road between the Big Wood River bridge and a point near Ranch Lane will include two 11-foot travel lanes and two 5-foot painted bike lanes. Disturbed areas within the right of way will be seeded with grasses and native vegetation.
Reconstruction of the road is sponsored by Blaine County using federal funding. The project will be administered by ITD.
