Robinson Boulevard detour changes to Victory (Powerline) Road starting Monday: Stamm Lane closed
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department will change the Robinson Boulevard Bridge detour route on Monday (Feb. 23) to Victory (Powerline) Road due to city-related utility work on Stamm Road.
Starting Monday, motorists will be routed to Victory (Powerline) and across I-84 at the Garrity Interchange or Ten Mile Road. Generally speaking, the road is called Victory near the county line, but is called Powerline farther into Canyon County.
Until next Monday's closure, Stamm Lane has been the primary detour route during construction of the Robinson Boulevard Bridge over I-84. The road will be closed to through traffic until mid-April for utility work that will be performed by a developer working with the city of Nampa.
Signs will inform motorists of the new detour route.
ITD is replacing the Robinson Boulevard and Black Cat Road bridges to accommodate new lanes on I-84 under the bridges. The project is expected to finish in late spring.
This project is part of a series of I-84 improvements funded by the GARVEE Transportation Program, which uses Grant Application Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds to expedite highway improvements.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties may apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.Idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
