Lane closure on Perrine Bridge to begin Tuesday
TWIN FALLS - Southbound traffic on the Perrine Bridge will be reduced to one lane beginning Tuesday (April 7) for the installation of a utility conduit, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews will use a bucket truck to access the underside of the Perrine Bridge to connect brackets and hang a utility and fiber optic conduit. Closure of the right lane - the left lane will remain open - will be restricted to Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A 40-mph speed limit and a 14-foot width limit will be enforced during work hours. The sidewalk on the west side of the bridge also will be closed during working hours.

Crews will replace broken, missing, and sheared bolts that were identified during the last bridge inspection. The contractor for the $208,000 project, Cannon Builders Inc. of Blackfoot, will replace components of the bridge expansion joints on the underside of the road deck later this spring.
