Westbound I-84 to be restricted overnight for manhole repair
BOISE - One I-84 westbound lane between the Robinson and Black Cat bridges will be closed overnight tonight (Thursday, April 9) for manhole repairs, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The inside (closest to the median) westbound lane will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday night to 5 a.m. Friday morning for the repairs.
The work is being done by Idaho Sand and Gravel under the I-84, Garrity to Meridian interstate widening contract.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
