Eastbound I-84 off-ramp at Meridian Road will be closed overnight Wednesday (May 20)
BOISE The eastbound I-84 off-ramp at Meridian Road (Exit 44) will be closed from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday (May 20-21), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews are paving new interstate lanes and installing signs near the exit.

During the closure, signs will direct motorists to enter and exit I-84 at the Eagle Road Interchange.

ITD is adding a third east- and westbound lane to I-84 between the Garrity and Meridian interchanges. Motorists can expect slight traffic changes over the next few weeks while the new lanes are paved.

The project is one of a series of improvements in the GARVEE Transportation Program, which uses Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) bonds to expedite interstate improvements.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
