Sewer project results in detour from Idaho 6 at Potlatch
POTLATCH - A sewer-line replacement project under way in Potlatch will result in a detour for through traffic on Idaho 6, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Sewer line construction resumed today and is expected to be complete by July 16, according to a representative of Hi-Grade Underground Construction of Meridian. The route, also known as Sixth Street through Potlatch, could open slightly earlier, depending on construction activity. During the project, Sixth Street will remain open only to local traffic.

East-west traffic on Idaho 6 will use Onaway Road with connections in Princeton and the west end of Potlatch. About half of the 2.5-mile detour is not paved. A 25 mph speed limit is in effect, and city officials advise vehicle operators especially motorcyclists to use caution on the detour.

Questions about the detour or the sewer line project can be directed to Hi-Grade Underground at (208) 301-1300 or the Potlatch City Hall, (208) 875-0708.
