UPDATE: Resurfacing to close Blacks Creek exit Tuesday (June 16)
BOISE -Work to resurface the travel lanes (right-hand lanes) on I-84 at Black's Creek east of Boise will close the exit on Tuesday (June 16), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

During the 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. closure of the westbound off ramp at Exit 64, the right lane will be closed and traffic moved into the left lane.

The westbound side will be repaired June 16, with the eastbound side resurfaced Wednesday (June 17). The right-hand lanes will be closed during the resurfacing process.

The westbound off ramp will be closed while crews are working on the area in front of the ramp on the westbound side. Motorists must use Eisenman Road (Exit 59) for a detour route.  No ramp closure will be necessary for work on the eastbound side.

Electronic message boards will be posted in advance of the work to warn motorists of the impending closure.

The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph in the project area.

Western Construction of Boise will perform the rotomilling, and Idaho Sand & Gravel of Nampa will perform the repaving. Central Paving Inc. of Boise will provide the asphalt. ITD maintenance forces will be providing the traffic control, material hauling, water truck, roller and pick-up brooms.
