Westbound lane on I-84 closed Tuesday night between Gowen and Broadway Interchanges
BOISE -- The inside westbound lane of I-84 between the Gowen and Broadway Interchanges will be closed overnight starting Tuesday, June 23 at 10 p.m. and continuing through Wednesday, June 24 at 5 a.m. There will still be one lane open going westbound, according to the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), and both eastbound lanes will remain open as fill material is brought in for the base of a guardrail pad.
A Dynamic Message Sign is being moved from its current location on I-84 westbound between the Vista and Orchard Interchanges to I-84 westbound between the Gowen and Broadway Interchanges. The sign has to be relocated to allow room for the widening project of both eastbound and westbound lanes between the Cole/Overland and Broadway Interchanges scheduled to begin in late 2009.
Quality Electric, Inc. of Boise is the contractor for the $312,000 project.
