Interstate 84 westbound will be restricted in Nampa, Meridian tonight
BOISE - Motorists can expect intermittent lane restrictions
on westbound I-84 in Nampa and Meridian overnight (Monday, Aug. 3) while the Idaho
Transportation Department repairs guardrail and pavement.
Closures will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 4). At least
one lane will be open all times.
The work is part of a project to widen I-84 to three lanes
in both directions between the Garrity and Meridian interchanges.
ITD and the Idaho State
Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work
zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are
encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information
on the state highway or interstate system.
