Ten Mile notice: Neighbors, businesses near future interchange invited to meet with ITD Aug. 10

BOISE -  Residents and business owners near the future Ten Mile Interchange are encouraged to attend a neighborhood meeting with the Idaho Transportation Department at 5:30 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 10) to discuss construction details.

The meeting will be held at Ten Mile Christian Church, at 3500 W. Franklin Road in Meridian, on the corner of Franklin and Ten Mile roads.

Topics will include construction noise, traffic impacts and how to stay informed about the project.

When complete in early summer 2011, the Ten Mile Interchange will relieve growing congestion on local roads and the Meridian Interchange, provide a new way to enter and exit I-84 on the six-mile stretch between the Garrity and Meridian interchanges, and serve as another entrance into the growing area of Meridian.

Construction began in late July 2009.

More information is available by contacting ITD at (208) 334-8005 or comments@itd.idaho.gov, or by visiting www.itd.idaho.gov (select Projects, Southwest Idaho and I-84, Ten Mile Interchange).
