Victory Road restrictions planned for Tuesday, Wednesday nights near Orchard Interchange
BOISE - Victory Road will be reduced to one lane in both directions just west of Orchard Street on Tuesday and Wednesday nights (Aug. 11 and 12).
The lane restrictions, part of the Idaho Transportation Department's project to rebuild the Orchard Interchange, will be effective from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights.
Chevron Pipeline will repair an existing gas line during the lane restrictions.
The $15.1 million Orchard Street Interchange project is funded through the GARVEE Transportation Program, which uses Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle bonds to expedite interstate improvements.
Construction is expected to be complete in spring 2010.
ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down
and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines
and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial
5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate
system.
