Blue Lakes Boulevard in Twin Falls to open to traffic Monday (Aug. 24)
TWIN FALLS - All lanes of Blue Lakes Boulevard impacted by the recent reconstruction between Falls Avenue and Pole Line Road are expected to be opened to traffic on Monday (Aug. 17). The Idaho Transportation Department advises that major work is completed, and the concrete surrounding the man holes and water valves will have been allowed to cure and gain strength by Monday's opening.

Crews will be painting lines and removing traffic-control barrels when the concrete has achieved sufficient strength.

Final concrete work will continue on several sections of sidewalk and in various business approaches throughout the corridor for up to two weeks. The final work will result in occasional and limited lane closures.

Drivers are reminded to watch for construction crews and equipment until all traffic control is cleared from the work zone. Shared and changing business access points could continue until all work is complete.

Reconstruction of Blue Lakes and installation of a new storm water sewer system between Falls Avenue and the Snake River canyon was started at the beginning of March. Work is concluding more than two months in advance of the contract period.
