Vista/Orchard alert: lane restrictions on North Orchard Street and Airport Way to begin Tuesday (Aug. 25)
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department encourages motorists to plan ahead for lane restrictions on the Orchard and Vista interchanges beginning Tuesday (Aug. 25).
- Airport Way will be reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday while crews do utility work in the area. Flaggers will direct motorists.
- North Orchard Street will have one lane open in each direction, with a center turn-lane, continuously through Sept. 1 for paving.
Lanes will be 10.5 feet wide, and motorists, especially truck drivers and those with wider loads, are asked to drive with care.
Lane restrictions on North Orchard Street begin at Malad Street and end just before the westbound off-ramp.
ITD and the Idaho State Police cautin motorists to slow down
and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines
and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial
5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate
system.
