I-84 westbound traffic: overnight lane closures between Garrity and Ten Mile start tonight (Thursday, Aug. 27)
BOISE - Motorists should expect overnight westbound lane closures between the Garrity Interchange and Ten Mile Overpass beginning Thursday (Aug. 27) and continuing through Sept. 2-3 while the Idaho Transportation Department installs a new sign.
The outside westbound lane will be closed Thursday (Aug. 27) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday and Saturday (Aug. 28-29), re-opening at 7 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 30).
On Wednesday (Sept. 2), the westbound inside lane will be closed from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The westbound Garrity off-ramp will be closed from 1:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday (Sept. 3).
Motorists will be detoured to Franklin Boulevard exit in Nampa.
The work is part of a
project to widen I-84 to three lanes in both directions between the Garrity and
Meridian interchanges.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay
attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other
penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit
511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
