Workforce development video shoot to cause morning delays on Idaho 52 starting Thursday (Sept. 10)

BOISE - Motorists may encounter slight delays on Idaho 52 in the six-mile stretch between Black Canyon Dam and the Sweet/Montour junction on the mornings of Thursday, Friday and Sunday (Sept. 10, 11 and 13).

The Idaho Transportation Department advises that delays of 10-15 minutes can be expected between milepost 39 and 45 from 5 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. each morning.

Idaho Media Professionals & Pure Magma Unlimited is creating a workforce development and education training video for Idaho filmmakers and camera operators, causing the intermittent road closures.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
