Mullan and Osburn paving projects to begin Monday (Aug. 22)
COEUR d'ALENE - A project to pave the Osburn and Mullan Business Loops on Interstate 90 is scheduled to begin Monday (Aug. 22), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Motorists can expect minor delays during daylight hours and one-lane traffic controlled by flaggers.  All lanes will be open at night.  The existing surfaces will be ground in some areas before paving takes place.

Resurfacing of the business loops will take place concurrently, with the Osburn project expected to take 20 working days and Mullan paving taking about 15 working days.

Interstate Concrete and Asphalt of Coeur d'Alene is the contractor for both projects, which total about $530,000.

The resurfacing projects will provide a smoother, more comfortable ride for local traffic and provide better travel from the interstate into the business districts of both communities.
