UPDATE: Overnight lane, ramp closure near I-84/Garrity Interchange postponed until Thursday (Sept. 10)
BOISE - Overnight restrictions on westbound I-84 and the Garrity Interchange westbound off-ramp, originally scheduled to begin tonight, have been postponed until Thursday and Friday (Sept. 10 and 11).
- On Thursday night (Sept. 10), the westbound inside lane on I-84 will be closed between the Garrity Interchange and Ten Mile Overpass from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- On Friday morning (Sept. 11), the westbound Garrity off-ramp will be closed from 1:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists will be directed to use the Franklin Boulevard exit in Nampa.
The work is part of a project to widen I-84 to three lanes in both directions between the Garrity and Meridian interchanges.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay
attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other
penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit
511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
