Westbound I-84 Alert: overnight lane closures begin at 10 p.m. tonight (Oct. 7) from Garrity to Ten Mile

BOISE - Motorists should expect intermittent overnight lane restrictions on westbound I-84 near the Garrity Interchange from Wednesday (Oct. 7) to Sunday (Oct. 11) while the Idaho Transportation Department prepares the road for a construction-related traffic shift.

One lane of westbound I-84 will be closed between the Garrity Interchange and Ten Mile Overpass from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. during the week, and until 7 a.m. on the weekends.

The work is part of a project to widen I-84 to three lanes in both directions between the Garrity and Meridian interchanges.

 

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
