REMINDER: Public invited to comment on Idaho 19 at meetings in Caldwell, Homedale

BOISE - The public is invited to comment on managing Idaho 19 at open houses today (Wednesday, Oct. 14) in Caldwell and Thursday (Oct. 15) in Homedale.

Idaho 19 is a mostly rural route that travels nearly 20 miles from the Oregon state line to Caldwell. The Idaho Transportation Department's corridor study will develop a 10-year plan that identifies highway needs.

Today's meeting will be held at the Caldwell Public Library, 1010 Dearborn Street. Thursday's meeting will be held at the Homedale Senior Center, 224 W. Idaho. At both locations, there will be two identical meetings, the first from 4 to 5:30 p.m., and the second from 6 to 7 p.m. The public does not need to plan to attend both sessions.

The corridor study complies with ITD board policy, which is also consistent with federal planning guidance. The study and subsequent adopted plan will be used to chart Idaho 19 road improvements in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
