Westbound lane on Interstate 84 closed overnight Oct. 20-22 near Vista Avenue
BOISE: One westbound lane on I-84 will be closed overnight Tuesday through Thursday (Oct. 20-22) near the Vista Interchange. The Idaho Transportation Department will have crews working on the westbound off-ramp.
Crews will work nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to place guardrail and stripe pavement in preparation for a new westbound off-ramp.
The work is part of the ITD's project to reconstruct the Vista interchange. Construction is expected to be complete in September 2010.
The contractor for the $17.8 million project is Central Paving Inc. of Boise.
Project construction is funded through the federal stimulus program, created to generate jobs and help boost Idahos economy while upgrading our foundation for future economic growth.
ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
