Boyer Avenue in Sandpoint to close Monday (July 25)
COEUR D'ALENE - Boyer Avenue in Sandpoint will close to through traffic beginning Monday (July 25), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The closure will last approximately six weeks.
Northbound traffic north of Ebbett Way and south of East Mountain View Drive will be detoured onto U.S. 95. Detour signs will be posted to help motorists find their way around the construction zone.
Crews will remove old pavement and rebuild the roadway. The project also includes the installation of curbs and gutters, a new storm water and sewage system, and approaches. A sidewalk and pathway will be constructed to provide a connection to the existing pathway over the Popsicle Bridge.
The contractor for this $782,000 project is Interstate Concrete and Asphalt of Sandpoint.
