Construction on Poleline Road will be suspended Aug. 31 through Sept. 5
SHOSHONE - Roadway construction on Poleline Road, part of the Twin Falls Alternate Route Stage 1 project, will be suspended Wednesday (Aug. 31) through Monday (Sept. 5) to accommodate traffic during the Twin Falls County Fair, Magic Valley Stampede and Labor Day weekend, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Some work will continue adjacent to the construction corridor from west of Grandview Drive to west of Washington Street.  Lane restrictions and reduced speed limits will remain in place.

The Twin Falls County Fair and Magic Valley Stampede held in Filer attracts more than 90,000 visitors from the Magic Valley and surrounding counties. Motorists are encouraged to use U.S. 30 to Filer instead of Pole Line Road.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in highway work zones. Rear-end collisions account for most work zone crashes. Following too closely, inattentive driving, failing to yield the right of way and improper lane changes also contribute to accidents in work zones.
