Bridge widening on U.S. 95 near Homedale to start Monday (Nov. 30)
HOMEDALE - Crews will perform bridge work on U.S. 95
starting Monday (Nov. 30), widening the bridge at Taxidermy Lane just south of
Homedale. About 10 feet in width will be added to each side, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The bridge is being widened to accommodate the upcoming
widening of U.S. 95 from Homedale to Marsing, scheduled for 2010.
Temporary traffic signals will be used for long-term
traffic control. The road will be reduced to one lane during construction, with
flaggers stationed at each end of the project to guide motorists during some
phases. The bridge will remain open but restricted; there may
be short closures of 15 minutes or less on occasion.
Work on the bridge, between milepost 31 and 32, is
expected to last for approximately two months.
State maintenance forces are completing this work.
