Expect nighttime lane restrictions on I-84 between Vista and Orchard interchanges Dec. 21-24
BOISE - Overnight I-84 lane restrictions will continue through Christmas Eve near the Orchard and Vista interchanges. The Idaho Transportation Department will be paving in the area.
- One lane of westbound I-84 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight on Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 21 and 22)
- One lane of eastbound I-84 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight on Wednesday and Thursday (Dec. 23 and 24).
All lanes will be open during daytime hours and on Christmas Day.
ITD is adding a third and fourth east- and westbound lane between the Cole and Broadway interchanges. The department is placing temporary pavement in the shoulders in advance of construction-related traffic shifts next year.

Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work
zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are
encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information
on the state highway or interstate system.
