Public meeting Wednesday (Jan. 13) in Wendell to discuss I-84 reconstruction
SHOSHONE - Local citizens and organizations are encouraged to attend an open house on Wednesday (Jan. 13) to discuss the reconstruction of Interstate 84 west of Wendell, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
ITD staff will be on hand to explain the proposed improvements, answer questions, and gather public comments from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the City of Wendell office, 365 First Avenue East.
The meeting is intended to provide information about the full-width pavement rehabilitation project scheduled to take place in 2011. Among topics to be discussed will be the planned closure of the West Wendell exit, project specifics, and timeline.
The approximately seven-mile rehabilitation project will remove and repair cracking, rutting and pot holes, restore the surface smoothness and increase the structural value of the section.
