Lane restrictions on Garrity Boulevard near Garrity Interchange start Sunday night (Jan. 24)
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department cautions that Garrity Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the Garrity Interchange starting Sunday night (Jan. 24) through the next warranted traffic shift.

Traffic will be moved to the inside lanes beneath the Garrity Interchange bridges while crews use the outside lanes to install guardrails and work on the bridge abutments. The speed limit has been lowered to 35 on Garrity Boulevard and 55 mph on Interstate 84 (I-84) through the construction zones.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
