UPDATE: I-84 eastbound lanes closed at I-84/I-86 junction in southcentral Idaho for semi truck accident

BOISE - Motorists are advised that the eastbound interstate lanes are closed in the 35-mile stretch from the I-84/I-86 junction to Sweetzer Summit as an overturned semi truck is blocking both lanes, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The area closed is from milepost 222 to milepost 257. Idaho State Police and Cassia County law enforcement are handling the incident. There is no estimate at this time on how long it might take to clear the lanes and re-open the road to traffic.
Drivers will be diverted to I-86 and on toward I-15 in Pocatello, where they can go either south toward Utah or north toward Idaho Falls and Montana.
Motorists are advised to check the state's 511 Traveler Service for news about the route re-opening. Drivers can dial 5-1-1 or access 511.idaho.gov on their computer or hand-held device.
