Expect nightly I-84 lane restrictions tonight through Wednesday (Jan. 25-27) near Vista Interchange
BOISE - One outside lane will be closed in each direction of Interstate 84 while crews work overnight near the Vista Interchange starting tonight (Monday, Jan. 25) and continuing through Wednesday night (Jan. 27) as part of the Idaho Transportation Department's project to reconstruct the interchange.

 

Drivers should expect lane closures starting at 10 p.m. each night and ending at 5 a.m. the following morning. All lanes will re-open by 5 a.m. on Thursday (Jan. 28).

 

The lane closures are needed for work on the bridge that spans I-84.

 

Construction is expected to be complete in fall 2010.

 

The contractor for the $17.8 million project is Central Paving Co. Inc.

 

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
