Overnight I-84 lane restrictions between Franklin Interchange and Robinson Road overpass begin Tuesday night (Jan. 26)
BOISE
- The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) advises motorist to expect I-84 to
be reduced to one lane in each direction at night starting Tuesday (Jan. 26), excluding weekends, between the Franklin
Interchange and Robinson Road overpass while crews work along the shoulders.
The lane
closures will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Both lanes will be open by
the morning commute and during the day. Overnight closures are not expected to
occur on Friday or Saturday nights. Weekly closures will continue until the
shoulder work is completed.
ITD
and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention
when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties
apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit
511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
