UPDATE: Idaho State Highway 21 re-opens
BOISE - Idaho 21 has re-opened from Grandjean Junction to Banner Summit, the Idaho Transportation Department announced, as avalanche-control measures were successful. The road re-opened in the "Avalanche Alley" 12-mile section at 11:04 a.m.
The road closed yesterday (Monday, Jan. 25) at 5 p.m. in that area as a cautionary measure to prevent avalanches on the open roads.
