Work on Vista's southbound lanes heats up starting Tuesday (Feb. 2); speed limit 25 mph
BOISE - Starting Tuesday (Feb. 2), motorists traveling to the Boise Airport will see more construction on Vista Avenue. The Idaho Transportation Department advises that crews will be removing curb, gutter and sidewalks from the southbound lanes between Elder and Wright streets.

Weather permitting, the work will occur daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. All lanes will remain open. The speed limit will be 25 mph, and shoulders will be closed. Flaggers may stop traffic briefly to move equipment in and out of the area.

Crews will move to the northbound lanes later this spring.

The Idaho Transportation Department is improving Vista Avenue as a part of the interchange reconstruction project. When complete, Vista Avenue will include right- and left-turn lanes onto Wright Street and Airport Way near the Boise Airport.

The Vista Interchange on I-84 is expected to be completed in summer 2010.
