Expect overnight lane restrictions on I-84 near the Orchard Interchange this week
BOISE - One lane will be closed on Interstate 84 while crews work overnight near the Orchard Interchange this week, starting tonight (Monday, Feb. 8). Lane restrictions will vary each night as crews work near the Orchard Interchange.

 

Lane restrictions begin nightly at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the following morning.

- Monday, Feb. 8: Westbound right lane

- Tuesday, Feb. 9: Westbound left lane

- Wednesday, Feb. 10: Eastbound left lane

- Thursday, Feb. 11: Eastbound right lane

 

Crews are working on the remaining portion of the new bridge.

 

The new Orchard Interchange, which will include longer on- and off-ramps and improved roadways around the ramps, is on schedule for a spring 2010 completion.

 

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
