Expect nightly I-84 lane restrictions March 1-12 between Orchard and Broadway interchanges
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department is advising motorists to expect overnight lane restrictions starting Monday (March 1) through March 12 as construction continues on I-84 in east Boise.

 

Between the Orchard and Vista interchanges, one lane will be closed in both directions overnight (10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on week nights, and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekends).

 

The speed limit will be 55 mph during the day and 45 mph during nighttime lane restrictions.

 

ITD is reconstructing the Orchard and Vista interchanges, and widening the interstate to four lanes in both directions.

 

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
