Striping completes lane configuration change on Garrity Boulevard near the Garrity Interchange overnight
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department advises that motorists will notice a further change to the traffic pattern on Garrity Boulevard near the Garrity Interchange Tuesday morning (March 2).

Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane have been moved inside the bridge piers beneath the Garrity Interchange bridges while crews use the outside lanes to work on the bridges.

Overnight tonight (Monday, March 1), the lane striping will be fine-tuned to further define the correct lane configuration. The re-striping will be completed before the morning commute Tuesday.

The speed limit has been lowered to 35 on Garrity Boulevard and 55 mph on Interstate 84 through the construction zones.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
