Work at Vista Interchange ramps will cause slight delays overnight Tuesday (March 9)
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department will modify the I-84 westbound on-ramp at Vista Avenue this week, giving motorists more room for merging.

Weather permitting, crews will work overnight Tuesday (March 9) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the westbound on-ramp. Motorists can expect slight delays.

The other interchange ramps will be modified in the upcoming weeks.

The ramps have been in a temporary configuration since July 2009, when ITD began reconstructing the Vista Interchange. Each ramp will be longer and wider when the $17.8 million Vista Interchange project is completed in late summer 2010.

ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
