Idaho Transportation Department settles claims with Waterfront Property LLC
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) and Waterfront Property Management LLC (Waterfront) have resolved all disputes arising from the Sand Creek Byway and its impact on the Sandpoint Marina.
Waterfront's President Ralph Sletager and ITD Board Member Jim Coleman announced the amicable settlement following two days of mediation conducted with the assistance of their attorneys
The settlement includes dismissal of Waterfront's appeal of the encroachment permit issued by the State to ITD, ITD's consent to permit replacement of boat slips previously removed, dismissal of all other claims against ITD and Waterfront, and a financial settlement without admission of liability by either party.
The parties agreed that the settlement was in their mutual best interest and complemented one another on the willingness to make peace and move forward constructively. The parties have agreed not to comment further.
