Expect nightly I-84 lane restrictions March 22-25 near Vista Interchange
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department advises motorists to expect overnight lane restrictions on I-84 overnight most of the week starting tonight (Monday through Thursday, March 22-25), as crews work on the new Vista Interchange bridge.
One lane will be closed in both directions at night starting at 10 p.m. All lanes will open by 5 a.m. the following mornings.
The lane closures are needed for work on guardrail and lighting under the new bridge.
The speed limit will be 55 mph.
ITD is reconstructing the Vista Interchange and will be
completed late this summer. The contractor for the $17.8 million project is Central
Paving Co. of Boise.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
