BOISE -- On Sunday (March 28) the Idaho Transportation Department will close Idaho State Highway 72 near New Plymouth from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (at the latest) in order to replace a bridge structure with a culvert, which is located between Blaine Road and the junction of Idaho State Highway 52.Click here for a map of the area.
The nearly two-mile stretch of highway is being closed in order to accomplish the task safely, quickly, and with as little disruption as possible. There will be additional work at the bridge structure during the following week, but that will be accomplished with only minor delays.
Those who reside along Idaho 72 will still be able to get in and out during the closure. There will be no thru traffic allowed.
