Expect nightly I-84 lane restrictions April 1-15 between Cole and Broadway interchanges
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) advises motorists to expect overnight lane restrictions April 1-15 as construction continues on I-84 in east Boise.
Between the Cole and Broadway interchanges, one lane will be closed in both directions at night (10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights, and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekends).
The speed limit will be 55 mph during the day and 45 mph during nighttime lane restrictions.
ITD is widening the interstate between Cole and Broadway interchanges to four lanes in both directions in this $35.9 million project.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
