Vista "SPUI" interchange makes the New York Times
BOISE - You never know who's standing next to you in baggage claim.

Recently, New York Times reporter William Yardley flew into the Boise Airport and noticed the Idaho Transportation Department's kiosk display near the baggage area. The kiosk explains major road construction projects close to the airport on Interstate 84 with an emphasis on the new Vista Avenue Interchange.

The kiosk video caught Yardley's attention. His article, "A Bridge to Fame in Boise, Honestly," ran in this morning's newspaper (March 31, 2010) in Section A, Page 12. It talks about ITD's efforts to educate the public on how to drive the new Single Point Urban Interchange (SPUI). The New York Times web site version of the article included links to ITD's Home page and to the kiosk video.
