VISTA UPDATE: Traffic switches to new deck of the Vista Avenue Bridge tonight
BOISE - Motorists traveling on Vista Avenue over Interstate 84 will be driving on a new bridge beginning tonight (Tuesday, April 13).
Flaggers will begin switching traffic to the
west side of the new bridge at 11 p.m. tonight.
The east side of the new bridge opened in November.
The speed limit on Vista Avenue is 25 mph.
ITD is reconstructing the Vista Interchange, which will be completed by late summer. The contractor for the $17.8 million project is Central Paving Co.
ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
