Prepare for delays on Airport Way next week (April 19-23)
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department asks motorists to plan for 5-10 minute delays on Airport Way near the Vista Avenue Interchange project next week (April 19-23).
- On Monday morning (9 a.m. to noon), flaggers will stop traffic briefly near the Inn America and Motel 6.
- From Tuesday to Friday, flaggers will stop traffic briefly near Vista Avenue between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The schedule is weather dependent.
ITD is widening the intersection of Airport Way and Vista Avenue, and building a concrete wall along I-84. The work is part of a project to reconstruct the Vista Interchange.
Construction is expected to be completed in late summer 2010.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
