TAKE TWO: Vista Avenue restrictions rescheduled for tonight
BOISE - Another rain delay has caused restrictions on Vista Avenue to be rescheduled for 9 p.m. tonight (Friday, April 23) after Mother Nature's waterworks prevented construction last night.
Flaggers will direct traffic
overnight on the Vista Avenue Interchange at I-84 while the Idaho
Transportation Department paints stripes, shifts traffic and modifies traffic
signals.
One lane in each direction will be open on the bridge between Elder Street and Airport Way. All lanes will re-open by Friday at 5 a.m. The speed limit remains at 25 mph.
The contractor for the $17.8 million project is Central Paving Co.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
