Traffic pattern altered at old State Street intersection; project scheduled for June 16-17
BOISE - Next Wednesday and Thursday (June 16-17), a road project is scheduled for the area where old State Street ties back into Idaho 44 west of Eagle Road. The Idaho Transportation Department advises motorists that the result will be a major change to the traffic pattern at that location.
These photos on ITD's Facebook account show the project location and changes.
Essentially, the right-hand
westbound lane at the intersection will no longer be a through lane. Instead, the lane will terminate at the intersection and become a right-turn only
lane. In addition, the second eastbound through lane will not start until after
the intersection.
Crews will reconfigure the intersection at Idaho 44 and West State
Street, painting over the current markings at the intersection, restriping and replacing signage. In addition,
the work will involve revisions to pavement markings and signage east and west
of the intersection.
The work will likely be
done over two days and will require some lane closures.
