Expect delays on Vista Avenue near Elder Street tonight (Tuesday, June 1)
BOISE - If weather allows, flaggers will direct traffic through the Vista
Avenue/Elder Street/Sunrise Rim intersection tonight (Tuesday, June 1).
The Idaho Transportation Department will be re-timing the traffic signal and working on Vista Avenue. The weather forecast tonight calls for rain, which would postpone the work.
Motorists can expect slight delays between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday. Vista Avenue will be reduced to one lane in both directions.
ITD is widening Vista Avenue and adding curb, gutter and sidewalk. The work is part of the Vista Interchange reconstruction project, which will be completed this fall.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
